Our Story

Why tourism consulting?

We love Canadian tourism and want to share it with the world. Canada is a magnificent country full of striking beauty, authentic experiences, and friendly people.

We’ve been asked why we continue to work with the tourism industry, especially when it was the hardest-hit industry by Covid-19. Our response? Our industry needs support, now more than ever. We have a deep commitment to tourism and want to continue supporting the industry to help it survive and again thrive.

Why Destinate?

Our purpose is to activate engaging destinations.

We spend the time to immerse ourselves in your team. In fact, we want to become an extension of your internal team, not one of our own. We are here to work alongside our client partners, offering an outside perspective; but, most importantly, providing extra horsepower for teams that may be leaner than ever.

Take advantage of our top-quality, experienced virtual team to support your goals.

  • Qualified network: Our experienced and proven network of consultants are executives who are seasoned in the tourism and travel industry. We have been in the trenches and know what it takes to move your destination forward.

  • Results-driven: We are committed to delivering plans that are real-world, actionable strategies that you can confidently implement.

  • Fundable strategies: We believe in driving value, not costs. Not only do we develop actionable plans, but we help you fund and resource those plans.

Sustainability First

Destinate embodies corporate social responsibility in everything we do. That’s why we approach things a little differently:

  • People – Social Impact: We donate 2% of revenues to a local charity of the client’s choosing. Since we work in regions across Canada, we want to demonstrate our commitment to your local communities. We also believe that diverse perspectives and backgrounds allow us to do our best work. Specifically, as a female-owned organization, we are committed to elevating the role of women in leadership positions in the travel and tourism industry.

  • Planet – Environmental Impact: As a virtual organization, we reduce our daily commuting impact on the environment. When we travel to meet our clients—whether by land or air—we participate in a Carbon Offset Program.

  • Profit – Financial Impact: While we believe in providing good value to our clients. We also believe that all employees, contractors, and suppliers are paid a living wage.

The founder behind Destinate Group

Lori believes in the power of ideas paired with down-to-earth implementation strategies to produce results. Lori’s late professor, Dr. Richard Long, inspired her to think about the traditional structures of the workplace differently. The old 9-5, bricks-and-mortar organizations are quickly becoming antiquated. To thrive, consultancies must be resilient, high-performance networks committed to our client’s success.

Destinate Group succeeds when our clients succeed. Your success is our success.
